Value for money
Good product
excellent product and compromise between quality and price
Pros. Weight to warmth ratio is very good.... Con. some down comes out of the thread hole
Very good
Large was too small, XL was a bit gappy. Due to the warmth of this jacket I went XL to allow for additional layering.
Good product
good product
The jacket is really very light and packs down to a small size. However, unfortunately, it is not water repellent at all, it absorbs the rain immediately. Although it is written as machine washable, the filling will shrink after washing.
It worked really well in the spring!
Warm and compact down jacket. Purchase that I would recommend to everyone. Excellent for the price offered by Decathlon, in my opinion you can't find anything of the same quality close to that price. OPTIMAL
Light and warm, good finishes, ok look (you can use it on hikes or in town). It largely competes with high-end down jackets from other brands. I bought it for hiking, but I think it will end up replacing my city down jacket (from another brand) which is reaching the end of its life. In my opinion it remains too light for a harsh winter hike. But in 90% of my uses it is perfect! The only downside is the delivery: left in a Decathlon locker without any packaging, during several rainy days. Result: it stinks of humidity and other unidentified odors. A priori the fluffiness is still good... But I find myself having to wash it (and therefore damage it) from the first day. Disappointed, but no time to change it because I'm leaving in 2 days. Please package your products.
Beautiful and stylish jacket, but during our moderate winter it quickly became apparent that it was much less warm than stated. Now during a rain shower, not even heavy, I got wet to my knees after 5 minutes, which is very fast for a jacket that wasn't that cheap!
Okay
Jacket is light in weight. Compact and great with travel. Warm enough Great Quality Perfect fit

How warm is this padded jacket?
This padded jacket, worn as a 3rd layer, has been certified for an active comfort temperature of 23° during a standardised test in a thermal chamber. The model is wearing a synthetic long-sleeved T-shirt and a light fleece underneath. It works with a simulated 5 km/h wind. We have also tested this model in static mode. The advantages of a duck down and feather filling
The filling power of down has 3 advantages for mountain sports: - Thermal insulation thanks to the air trapped in the down and feathers.- Ultra-lightweight: down is lighter than synthetic wadding while offering the same degree of warmth. This saves even more weight in your backpack.- Ultra-compressible.
How to measure the fill power of a down and feather wadding?
The fill power is a measure of the down's thermal insulation capacity and its potential to ”trap” air. It is expressed in CUIN (cubic inches). Down with a higher fill power (higher CUIN number) will occupy more space, trap more air and provide greater thermal insulation. For this down jacket with its 85% down and 15% feathers filling, the fill power is guaranteed to be 800 CUIN or more (international standard).
What is rds certification?
RDS or “Responsible Down Standard” is a worldwide certification issued by an independent organisation to volunteer brands. This standard enables us to guarantee the origin of the feathers in accordance with our commitment to use responsible materials. Our suppliers commit to using only feathers from geese and ducks raised for their meat and slaughtered before down and feathers are collected.
Water-repellent property of component (not to be confused with waterproofing)
The water repellent property of a fabric is its ability to make water run off its surface without absorbing it. This prevents the fabric from swelling, and keeps it lightweight and warm. The fabric of this down jacket is water repellent, however, we recommend that you wear a waterproof jacket over it in the rain. The fabric is made water-repellent by treating (PFC-free) its outer surface, however this property may deteriorate with use. We recommend that you restore it after each wash.
How to care for a down jacket?
The down jacket can be worn throughout the winter and will certainly need to be washed. But the less you wash it, the more it will retain its thermal insulation and water repellency.Summary: 1/Machine wash with a detergent suitable for down or technical garments, at 30°, with 2 or 3 tennis balls. Gentle spin cycle. 2/ tumble dry with 2 or 3 tennis balls, and repeat 2 or 3 times until it is completely dry.
How to restore the water-repellent properties?
Once you have cleaned your padded jacket, we recommend you use a water-repellent reactivator spray to preserve the hydrophobic properties of the outer fabric. This renews the fabric’s water repellent properties and optimises its performance throughout the lifespan of your garment.
A snag? this is how to repair your down jacket
A tear on a padded jacket can happen when trekking! The good news is that it can be repaired with a repair patch so the tear doesn’t get any bigger and the feathers escape. Don't you feel at ease carrying out this repair yourself? Don't worry! Some in-store Decathlon workshops offer a repair service to mend your padded jacket using a heat-bonded patch.
